From the moment she broke onto the music scene, Ary Conti was labeled a "good girl gone bad," breaking free of her strict and religious upbringing in order to make her own path by kissing a girl, liking it and turning that into a #1 hit single. But, truth be told, the California girl didn't exactly have a cookie cutter life tucked in a white picket fence and wrapped with a bow.

Ephram Rosenberger and Susan Conti were an odd pair from the start. He was a sarcastic, struggling comedian and father of one (Naomi, born in 1982, who's mother disappeared six months after her birth) from New York, while she was a dental assistant and homebody from Philly. Both had a drive for something new, thus the relocations to southern California. Despite an age difference, sparks immediately flew between them; it was that "bad boy" meets "good girl," "opposite attract" kind of situation. They fell into their bubble of love, which nearly burst when Susan discovered she was pregnant only a year after their initial meeting.

The pair welcomed a daughter, Aryana Renee, on January 21st, 1985. Fatherhood always gave Ephram a plethora of material for his comedy routine but the traveling he had to do to share those jokes took a huge toll on his relationship. He and Susan broke up before their daughter was even three but remained friends, with Susan often watching both girls while Ephram spent weekends working in Los Angeles or San Francisco. She also found a new relationship with religion and began attending a Protestant church, where she met youth minister Philip Mills. The two were wed in 1990 and welcomed three children over the years.

In the early years, Susan often described Aryana as a stoic child, a quiet one who wasn't anti-social but preferred being on her own, or with her older sister. The two were attached at the hip during every moment they got together, which were quite a lot once Eph began flying home to New York to perform shows. Eventually he decided that he needed to make the Big Apple his home again. Aryana was only eight years old when all three parents sat her and Naomi down to tell them the news. The girls were devastated but quickly relieved that it had been decided that Naomi would be staying on the west coast and moving to the Mills home.

Ephram's move didn't happen without causing some waves though. After Aryana's first visit to the city over Valentine's Day weekend in 1994, the nine-year-old became aware of many things that her parents had kept her and her siblings in the dark about; she was inundated by music and films and so much pop culture that she had been blissfully unaware of before then. It caused hostility and resentment from her towards Susan, which would carry on for years. Her parents realized that she needed an outlet and they encouraged her to begin singing in church. It was neither here nor there to Aryana but everything changed when she was given her first guitar for her thirteenth birthday and began to write songs of her very own.

No one ever expected that within two years, Aryana would find herself signed to a recording contract with a Christian label and releasing an album. Aryana Mills (she used her step-father's surname professionally) was released in March 2001 and Aryana toured to support it that summer, but the label ceased operations by the end of the same year and she returned to Bakersfield to finish high school. That bump in the road was not going to stop her from going after her dreams though. Aryana decided to move to Los Angeles after she graduated from high school in 2002 and managed to work with Glen Ballard on an album for Island Records. For a few years, she concentrated on growing as a songwriter but once again her end result was an album that went nowhere and getting dropped by another label.

One of her songs ended up featured on a film soundtrack and others were later recorded by other artists but Aryana wanted more. She signed to Columbia in 2004 but their ideas of her sound and for her look were far different than her own. The label decided to pair her with production powerhouse team The Matrix, putting Aryana as the female vocalist to their newly formed band. That work was later shelved just weeks before it was set to be released when the chemistry between them all wasn't clicking as they wanted it to. But she was lucky enough to catch the eye of some music press as Blender magazine named her "The Next Big Thing" in October 2004. She began recording on her own once again but the carpet was ripped from beneath her for a third time when Columbia halted the production of her album.

In 2006 a break finally came for Aryana, who decided to professionally go by Ary Conti at that point. In the midst of being dropped from Columbia, she was picked up and signed by Capital Music Group. They also acquired the rights to her previous, unfinished album, which would go on to be a large portion of her first major release, One of the Boys, which hit the shelves in the summer of 2008. It received mixed reviews from the critics but performed well, reaching number nine on the Billboard 200, as did her singles. She took part in the Warped Tour that summer and embarked on her first solo tour (The Hello Ary Tour) in 2009.

Personal success came along with her professional triumphs as well. At a charity event in September 2008, Ary met Andrew Schaffer, an actor primarily working in television, and the pair quickly begin a relationship. Much like her parents' relationship, things moved at a very quick pace. The couple were engaged by March and then married in a private ceremony on September 9th, 2009. Both Ary and Andrew had hopes of starting a family quickly but things didn't work out as planned, so she spent the early months of 2010 working on a new album.

Teenage Dream was released in August of 2010 and to say that it was a hit would be an understatement. Over time it would help her achieve a Guinness World Record for being the first female to have five singles from one album top the Hot 100, which had only previously been achieved by Michael Jackson. She would expand to other projects over that time as well, including fragrances and some voice acting, but music would always stay her primary focus - especially as she embarked on a massive world tour that would include 127 shows.

The fact that her career was such a high focus took quite a toll on her marriage, especially as she toured and had to spend extended amounts of time away from her husband, who found himself working far less. His career insecurities played into decisions about their relationship, keeping him from visiting her and bringing on fights about starting a family and her being home to do so. Ary tried to do everything she could to mend the cracks in their relationship - aside from having a child in order to appease his demands - but Andrew eventually decided there was no saving their marriage and filed for divorce in January 2012.

With her tour and marriage over, Ary dove head first into work. In March, she re-released her sophomore album as Teenage Dream: The Complete Confection and included three new songs. The two singles, "Part of Me" and "Wide Awake," seemed to be big statements about the personal ordeals she had gone through over that last year. When her part-biopic, part-concert 3D film titled Ary Conti: Part of Me was released in July, it gave a deeper look into her whole life - from childhood through the present - and also the grueling schedule that had played a part in her marriage's demise. The film garnered many positive critical reviews and, to close the good end of a tough year, she was named Woman of the Year by Billboard.

It was no surprise to anyone when Ary went right back to work in November 2013 but it was when she took a break a few months later. She decided that she needed to center herself a little more before fully embarking on the process of recording again. She had planned to work on it at a snail's pace but ended up finishing by the summer and telling her label she was ready for a release in the fall. Though she had initially made mentions that the album would have a much darker tone, that wasn't the case. Instead, the title of Prism became a metaphor for all the light that she had gotten back in her life with a lot of self-reflection and therapy, light and hope that she wanted to beam out to her fans through the songs she had created. The album was released in October 2013 and, like the first single, it debuted at #1.

Following Prism's release, Ary found new love and she gave her personal life precedence yet again. The romantic in her feels that some songs from the record put a positive energy out in the universe and brought her the relationship she had written and dreamed about. Professionally, some might say she's failed because some of her singles did not reach the top of the charts the way that the tracks from Teenage Dream had. But given that "Dark Horse" snagged the title of the most played song on US radio for 2014, Aryana tries to keep in perspective that even Michael Jackson himself never repeated the record he set with Bad.

"Cusp of Mystery and Imagination" Astrological Personality Traits

Those born under this cusp will make you work and put forth a genuine effort to get to know them. Once you get a taste, you are drawn to them like a moth to a flame. You see a flicker of something behind their curtain and you just have to know more.

An Aquaricorn seems to be able to seamlessly combine the serious and traditional traits that come with being a Capricorn with the creativity and curiosity that drive an Aquarius. If they're given the chance, many Capricorn/Aquarians would be lifelong students, learning everything they can from any outlet available. Thanks to their Aquarian side, they have a patience that not many signs in the zodiac possess. When you couple this with the Capricorn ambition, practicality and discipline - you have a person who see a need, set an object and follow through to completion. The only thing that can hinder their growth or ability to be is their inability to let criticism roll off their back. The lack of understanding from those around them is sometimes seen as a personal failure. When they find someone who does understand them - whether it is just in part or as a whole - they'll never let that person go.

While many are captivated by the intrigue of a Capricorn/Aquarian, once they get to know them, they may be turned off by their desire to maintain high standards. If you can appreciate that they have a vision on how they want or think things should be, then you are one step closer to understanding the method to their madness. They are deeply visual and may either create sculptures, paint or write creatively. When they speak, they're likely to do so by using words that create a picture, allowing the others involved to see and feel exactly what they do. This may be another reason why they unknowingly command the attention of others. People will often get caught up in the Aquaricorn's dream world easily and they want more, they want to be part of it.
ENFP / Idealist Champion Myers-Briggs personality type

E - Extraversion preferred to introversion
They often feel motivated by their interaction with people.

N - Intuition preferred to sensing
They tend to focus on the future possibilities rather than immediate realities.

F - Feeling preferred to thinking
They tend to value personal considerations above objective criteria.

P - Perception preferred to judgment
They tend to withhold judgment and delay important decisions.

ENFPs are optimistic, enthusiastic, and vivacious, craving expressions of strong emotion. With a dramatic flair, they will share their experiences with others, hoping to reveal some universal truth or win others over in support of a cause. Attuned to possibilities, ENFPs scan their environment, probing the emotions, needs, and motivations of others. This sensitivity sometimes conflicts with their intense drive for personal authenticity. Spontaneous and personable, they attract others to their company. They will energize and stimulate others through their contagious enthusiasm. They always look to find meanings in the world, and are more likely to be the champion of causes rather than of individuals. Living fully in this way is extremely important to them and it is their nature. They tend to idealize people, and can be disappointed when reality fails to fulfill their expectations. ENFPs tend to observe all that is going on around them and they're quick to bring peace to any unpleasant interaction.
